7. How can I pay my bill?

BPay
Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society, either by internet or telephone, to make this payment from your cheque, savings or credit card account. When prompted enter the biller code and your Customer Reference (on your bill)

Credit Card
Call our Telepay service on 1300 668 289 (24hrs) to pay your bill using Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners. We will provide you with a receipt number for your records.

Paying in Person
Please present the payment slip from the bottom of your bill at a Post Office where cash, cheque or credit card will be accepted using the barcode.

Mail
Detach the payment slip from the bottom of the bill and return it together with your cheque made out to Telecommunications Payment Services. They are our outsourced transaction payment processing bureau.

Direct Debit
Call 1300 669 073 and register for Direct Debit to nominate your bank account or credit card. Payments will be taken out on the due date for you automatically. You will never have to remember to pay your bill again.

8. Do I have to be an existing Evolution Telecom phone customer to join Evolution Telecom internet?
No, you do not need to be an Evolution Telecom phone customer to join Evolution Telecom internet. However join our phone services and save even more money.

9. What hardware do I need to connect to the internet?
You will need a standard personal computer, a modem & a telephone line. We recommend at least a Pentium class processor with Windows 95, a CD-ROM, 16 megabytes of RAM & a V.90 56k modem.

10. Can I connect to Evolution Telecom internet using an Apple computer?
Yes. Our network is compatible with all computers which use the PPP protocol, including all Apple computers. Our technical support team is able to provide support for customers with Apple computers. We recommend that your Apple uses MacOS 8 or higher.

11. Do I need a telephone line to connect to Evolution Telecom internet?
Yes, connecting to EVOLUTION TELECOM internet requires a telephone line.

12. Does my computer need to be connected to a telephone line when I connect to Evolution Telecom internet?
Yes, your computer must have a modem which is plugged into both a telephone line & your computer.

13. Can I connect to the internet if I have only one telephone line?
Yes, only one telephone line is needed to connect to the internet. You can connect to Evolution Telecom internet using the phone line normally used for voice telephone calls.

14. What type of modem do I need to connect to Evolution Telecom internet?
Evolution Telecom supports modem speeds up to 56kbps. If you are using a 56kbps modem it must support either the v.90 or K56flex protocols. The speed you can connect to Evolution Telecom depends on the quality of your telephone line. An ADSL modem is required for our broadband facilities, which we can supply to you.
